Who We Represent

ACVOA’s primary role is representing the interests of domestic commercial vessel owners and operators in carrying out their business. With this in mind, our advocacy also includes consultation with regulators including local, state national and international bodies that have oversight of our sector.

In providing this advocacy it is also incumbent of ACVOA to promote efficiencies and good practice in the promotion of suppliers and supporters of our industry. Potential members include;

Our Advocacy Areas

ACVOA has identified purposes including, but not limited to:

  • Represent, advocate and advance the common interests of its eligible members;
  • Facilitate effective communication between its eligible members, and between ACVOA and government regulators and policy makers regarding common issues and legislative matters;
  • Monitor industry developments and communicate these developments to its eligible members;
  • Enable an environment for its eligible members to share information, provide mutual support and opportunities to network with other eligible members; and
  • Conduct activities that are complementary or incidental to the above purposes.
